Playing with Plyos: Training for Speed, Agility, and Quickness

(2 HOURS) - Speed, agility, and quickness, along with balance and reaction skills, are the commonalities found in leading-edge, professional athlete conditioning and every day movement skills. Join the Twist Team of Master Coaches as they introduce you to drills designed to increase athleticism, body awareness, and movement skills for kids; functional agility and reactive drills for fitness clients; and multidirectional movement patterns for elite athletes. Scientific theory, exercises and drills, training guidelines, and coaching cues will all be covered during this combined theoretical and practical session. You’ll experience the process by participating in SAQ drills with prescription for multiple sports, functional fitness, and youth athleticism. Learn the drill mechanics, teaching cues and program sequences to successfully implement these future trends in sport and fitness.

Athletic Strength- The Linked System™

(2 HOURS) - Twist’s Linked System™ Strength training technology allows amateur athletes, fitness clients and young participants alike to move more skillfully with greater durability to perform their activities with greater competence while remaining injury free. This system is safe and effective for athletes of all ages and ability levels, providing great results that translate directly into the demands of sport, fitness and life. This innovative workshop includes theory and hands-on practical experience to enhance your ability to prescribe whole body, multi joint lifts, as well as stability and power exercises using a variety of strength-related apparatus.

Sport Conditioning for Child to Champion

(4 HOURS)- Join Twist Conditioning, experts in sport conditioning, in an action packed 4 hour workshop to experience the benefits of training to improve athleticism. Athletes of all ages can benefit from developing exceptional physical tools that support their sport skills. This workshop will highlight the benefits and methods to improve agility, balance, coordination, speed, quickness, whole body strength, and core stability as well as provide participants with practical skills and drills to develop faster, stronger athletes immediately. We invite sport coaches, athletes, parents, teachers, health care professionals, fitness professionals, emergency services personnel (police, fire, armed forces), weekend warriors and recreational athletes to increase both their knowledge and training abilities in sport conditioning. Building better athletes has been our business for over 20 years, so we guarantee each participant will leave this workshop with a tool box full of sport conditioning concepts and practical exercises to immediately impact sport and recreational success for all athletes from child to champion.

Performance Balance

(2 HOURS) - An individual’s most important feats of balance will be required in unpredictable environments such as withstanding a check while catching a lacrosse ball, skiing through the trees or surfing a wave. Balance is highly trainable and transfers to most sports and daily activities. Join the Twist Team of Master Coaches as they teach you how to integrate whole body movement with unstable surfaces into every aspect of your training session from your warm up, through to your cool down. Progressions and Regressions for traditional and untraditional training tools will be utilized for youth, functional fitness clients through to your to high level athletes.

One-on-one Partner Training

(2 HOURS) - Join the Twist Team of Master Coaches as they take you through a fun and innovative workshop based on one of Twist’s fundamental training principles: Competition + Play = Hard work and Fun. This workshop will provide you with new and innovative balance, strength and movement exercises designed to test your ability to read and react, use manual resistance, and have fun. An action packed event that is challenging, interactive and results driven using a proven design methodology that can be easily adapted for various types of athletes. Learn a great strategy to get your athletes to work hard, smile and laugh- we have the recipe!
